i am not sure if this is the right spot to put this but i hope it will be moved if it is not !!!

i came to this site in hopes of ways to stop people from trying to use my email as an enterprise for their own selfish reasons. i get a lot of fake emails and at first i did ignore them, but after a while it became to much. i swear, how the hell do these people get my email address?, anyways, i have read this forum, and am very impressed with you guys and have found it quite amusing at the same time . congrats to all who have been able to stop the ones you did!!! however i would like to ask if perhaps pointing out the mistakes that they make if that maybe a form of baiting? meaning, i have recieved some really good looking emails but i have the knoweldge to know the difference, in such cases i have in return replied and told them that if they intend on trying to get money from me then they have to work harder at it, should i not do this? i am just wondering if it maybe an invite to the scammers rather than a deterent? any comments?

Welcome to our little community, glad you noticed we have fun while doing something really good every once in a while!

Now that you are here I suggest you get a mentor. Our admin Fungus will help assign you the right person to help you understand some of the intricacies that will bring you a lot of fun.

To answer your question, in my own opinion pointing out errors can work against you, unless you find something really horrible you can tell them that you understand them perfectly and if you think a real victim will be fooled easily to tell them you spotted several glaring errors that proves that they are fake, reverse psychology if you will.

a little explanation about my pic.... when setting up this account, i wanted something that would represent what i felt when i read these scam emails....a friggin marionette...a puppet which who is controlled by another.... but then i thought well it is not i they control , it is them i control .....and then aesop came in and wanted the spotlight ....therefore had to give credit to to that ......death to us in the sense that we as scam baiters will kill them ...( lol not literally) just there redundant pathethetic ways!!!! have a great day or night!!!

I was thinking about puppets while I was replying to you earlier, I use that in my baits several times a month, in either direction, "I am your puppet and when you pull my string I will send the money no problem" or the usual, "I am not your puppet..."

Your mentor will handle all of this for you as s/he knows how to start from the ground up for your maximum enjoyment. Some of us clown around in here but we do take our baiting seriously.
