Frazzle is right. This is some serious professional misconduct. Anybody who has dealt with a real barrister can tell you that they are not allowed to tell anybody anything without your prior written consent. This chap needs to verify his qualifications.

Also, getting yahoo accounts closed is one of those debateable issues. Some will say that it is a pointless waste of your time as the scammer will just open ten more. I would personally see it as a form of amusement as it does inconvenience the scammer and may send a warning of sorts to any victims he may have at the time but I do not do it myself because the scammer may be a moron and it could possibly stuff up somebody elses really good bait. Some of them are several years in the making.

I tend not to either for precisely those reasons but eire had two lad domains shut down and the bastard was so desperate he cam back on a Yahoo account. Seemed too good a chance to miss.
